Our Chief Executive Officer, Manel Rodríguez Murillo, took part in the MIPIM session entitled “Roll-out of new residential models in Catalonia” alongside Pere Picorelli, Director of Housing and Building at INCASÒL (Institut Català del Sòl).
As the first SBIC platform dedicated to housing management in Spain, at ALAS Vivienda Asequible we are clear that the sector’s greatest challenge is not merely financial or regulatory, but one of volume and scale.
During the talk, Manel emphasised that the future of affordable housing depends on the emergence of larger investment platforms, capable of managing assets with a long-term commitment.
‘We are very pleased to be participating alongside the Director of Housing at INCASÒL to explain the current conditions and needs required to encourage the inflow of investment funds and private capital into Catalonia, with the aim of increasing the production and volume of affordable rental housing.’
“We have highlighted that the conditions offered by the 50,000 Plan will generate attractive returns for private investors, through a programme that is substantial, stable and offers full guarantees and legal certainty.”
We continue to work to increase the housing stock in our region!
