Yesterday, 25 November, ALAS presented the Decalogue and KPIs for Social Impact at COAM, a fundamental step forward in measuring, managing and demonstrating the real impact of affordable long-term rental housing.
During the conference, ALAS shared the importance of rigorous measurement of social impact as key to consolidating a more secure and transparent investment ecosystem that is aligned with the needs of people and cities.
Manel Rodríguez, CEO of ALAS, pointed out, ‘We didn’t want the social impact we generate to remain just words. We are aware that we have to prove that social impact to give investors security. And that’s why we wanted to carry out structured measurements thanks to our work with Provivienda, which are unprecedented in the real estate sector.’
Alejandra Mora, operating partner at ALAS, highlighted that ‘This decalogue and KPIs presented by ALAS Vivienda Asequible will help investors make their decisions. Because we measure the social impact we generate by building and managing long-term affordable rental housing in areas as important as economic stability, health, education and employment, among others.’
We would like to thank SpainNAB for promoting this essential conversation together with ALAS; the Official Association of Architects of Madrid (COAM) for hosting the event; the Provivienda Association for its rigour and methodological commitment; the speakers Mercedes Valcárcel, Elena Martínez, Francesc Martí, Cristina Pérez and all those who attended and contributed with questions, reflections and energy.
At ALAS, we continue to work to make affordable housing a sustained and sustainable reality, with a proven and visible social impact.
