At ALAS, we strive to protect the availability and affordability of long-term rental housing as a key instrument in the prevention of residential exclusion and social vulnerability. As a low-profit company, we work with the social objective of prioritising the construction of affordable housing for people over profitability and investor incentives.
In Spain, there are hardly any non-profit or low-profit organisations with a long-term commitment to developing affordable and social rental housing. On the other hand, there is no shortage of social impact capital investors, there are just no investment options in large-scale housing developments.
We are an innovative solution to finance affordable and social housing, connecting investors and capital with social impact and low-profit or non-profit organisations. Together, they will become important housing providers and developers in Spain.
