About us

ALAS SBIC Affordable Housing

We are the first company to develop and manage large-scale affordable rental housing in Spain. Our mission is two-fold: we aren’t profit-driven, and our activities must always have a social and environmental impact, addressing the need for quality, affordable, and energy-efficient housing in Spain.

We are the first Private Limited “Benefit and Common Interest Company (SBIC), engaged in property holding and management in Spain. In its Articles of Association, this legal entity recognises us as a new business model that voluntarily accepts its commitment to generating economic, social, and environmental value through its activities. Therefore, we are subject to more stringent levels of transparency and oversight through specific validation methodologies.

This differentiating factor puts us in a position to attract a type of social capital that, until recently, has been virtually unheard of in the housing rental market. This is done with a view to building and preserving a long-term affordable housing stock; seeing housing as a key social infrastructure for the country’s economic and social development.
